Allete Chairman and CEO, Don Shippar, will be retiring at the end of April.  The Duluth based company has announced that Alan Hodnik, the current President of Allete, will succeed Shippar as the CEO effective on May 1st.  Shippar, who has been with the company for 33 years, will continue as Chairman of the Board of Directors.  Hodnik joined Minnesota Power in 1982 and has consistantly moved up the ranks of leadership positions within the company.
